How Does Kybella Work?
Kybella is identical to the naturally occurring deoxycholic acid our bodies produce to break down and absorb consumed fats. Basically, it dissolves and destroys fat tissues. When injected into targeted areas of fat, it treats only the cells in that area to create a precise and localized slimming effect.
The injectable treatment is FDA Approved to safely and effectively reduce fat under the chin. We can also use it to treat love handles and other stubborn pockets of fat on the face and body.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR KYBELLA?
You may be an ideal candidate if you have localized fat deposits on your neck and body, that you’re looking to get rid of without surgery. WHAT IS KYBELLA RECOVERY LIKE?
You can expect to see swelling and puffiness right after your appointment. This last for 2 to 3 weeks, though most of it resolves after a few days. Yes, your treated area will look worse before it looks better. But after 4 to 6 weeks, it will look better, and most people find the results are well worth the recovery process.
HOW MANY KYBELLA TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
The number of treatments varies from person to person. The traditional approach typically requires a series of 3 treatments spaced 6 to 12 weeks apart, depending on the amount of fat under the chin. Our approach is to maximize results and minimize treatment time as much as is safe. Many of the people who visit us choose to have more vials injected at once rather than coming back for multiple treatments. This does involve more swelling initially, but also cuts down on extra appointments and gives you the results you’re looking for as efficiently and conveniently as possible.
Our injectors will work with you to design a treatment plan that works best for you. We’ll never talk you into a path that isn’t completely safe and appropriate for you and your goals.
WHEN WILL I SEE MY KYBELLA RESULTS?
You’ll start to see results after 4 to 6 weeks as your body metabolizes the fat.
HOW LONG DO KYBELLA RESULTS LAST?
KYBELLA results are long-lasting. Once you achieve your desired look, you won’t need touch-up treatments to maintain it. Those treated cells are gone for good!
